LDS Couples Therapy & Marriage Counseling

LDS couples therapy is marriage counseling that takes your faith context seriously — whether you’re both active, both out, or somewhere different from each other. I combine evidence-based couples methods with deep, lived understanding of Latter-day Saint culture, so nothing needs translating and nothing gets judged.

What is LDS couples therapy?

It’s standard, research-backed couples work — communication, desire, trust, conflict — delivered by a therapist fluent in the specific pressures LDS and post-LDS couples face: purity culture messages, worthiness anxiety, mixed-belief tension, and the silence that grows around sex. You will not be told to just pray harder, and you will not be pushed away from your faith either.

Who it’s for

Believing couples who want a stronger, more intimate marriage. Questioning or transitioning couples navigating change together. Mixed-faith marriages where one partner stays and one leaves. Couples recovering from pornography conflict or betrayal. Couples in a sexless season who want their spark back.

Common issues we address

Desire differences and sexless marriage, betrayal and trust repair, communication breakdowns, faith transition strain, sexual shame and avoidance, parenting differences after belief change, and rebuilding friendship and physical intimacy.

How it works

Sessions are 50 minutes, held online via secure telehealth for clients in Utah, California, and Idaho. We start with a free 15-minute consultation to make sure I’m the right fit — no pressure either way.
