I took a bit of time looking for the right place for my girlfriend and I to get some professional help. I had never been to therapy before, so I was certainly picky in terms of who was acceptable/comfortable. I chose Daniel Burgess at the Nugent Family Counseling Center, went in to chat with him, and he turned out to be the right choice.
Now while I’ve never been to therapy prior to Daniel, I DO know some therapists, and some of those definitely should NOT be therapists. In Daniel’s case, not only is he extremely intelligent, but experienced in both life and his profession. In terms of relationship dynamics, he has very advanced knowledge that I was almost surprised with. Through a month’s worth of time, he was able to bring us both to a few realizations.
